uncountable worrisome situations

I'm not that kind of person who is used to wishing for things, I'm happy with what I have and I feel embarrassed when someone asks me what he/she can buy for me as a present. But, just as a dream, I really wish I had the power of multiply myself, I'd absolutely love to use that power in everyday life!
In last post I wrote "The total number of ds it is 30". What a worrisome situation! I become discouraged in front of countable/uncountable nouns! I must improve my English, it needs to be done urgently. The fact is that there are 30 ds in total, but I don't know if there is or there are a total number of 30 ds... Well. It's better to avoid big rings :(

WIP update: I tatted 25 squared motifs and I'm on the edging. The idea is to recall the connection shape of the square and tat a second round to the edging, without any more hearts, which are extremely worrisome to iron!
Then, there're those little yellow flowers. They are both my attempt to start a doily designed by Jane, many many thanks to her for the pattern and many thanks to Sue, too, for her helpful tutorial here.

HW for the designer class: I still don't have a bunny, but a bunch of patterns that can be tested as earrings. What do you think?

The silk is ready to be tested, white and shining, isn't it? The worrisome situation is that I have to unwind the loose ball again!

Other projects on-going: a bag, that's going to be made with an absolutely wonderful gobelin fabric, full covered of butterflies; a necklace with beads (the one I started before Xmas), 2 hankies. And the chores, argh!

Sono il tipo di persona che si accontenta di ciò che ha e non desidera altro, se qualcuno mi chiede esplicitamente cosa vorrei per regalo, mi sento sempre in imbarazzo. Ma c'è una cosa che chiederei volentieri al genio della lampada: il potere di moltiplicarmi, da usare ovviamente in ogni momento della giornata! Nell'ultimo post ho fatto un "errorone" in inglese, mi lascio scoraggiare da certe parti della grammatica che sembrano molto lontane dall'italiano. Devo migliorare il mio inglese, URGE! Aggiornamento sul centrino quadrato: ho fatto 25 piastrelline e sono passata al bordo. Penso di aggiungere un secondo giro, ma senza cuori, che sono uno strazio da stirare! Poi ci sono quei fiorellini gialli: sono l'inizio di un centrino creato da Jane, la ringrazio tantissimo e ringrazio anche Sue per suo il tutorial.  Compitini della classe online: ancora non ho un coniglietto ma ho un mucchietto di idee che devono essere provate e che potrebbero andare bene per farne orecchini.  Che ne dite? La seta è pronta, bianca e luccicante! Ma la devo rimettere sull'arcolaio, vedremo... Altri progetti in corso: una borsa, da fare con un bellissimo taglio di gobelin, con un sacco di farfalline; una collana di perline (quella iniziata prima di Natale), 2 fazzolettini. E le faccende! Argh!!!

oversight(s)

I've just realised that there're lots of mistakes in my English, so I beg your pardon, I still can't correct myself and probably I'm also writing something strange right now. Urgh!
Today I should also say sorry for an oversight made in the last pattern, look at the picture below: 

The total number of ds it's 30, so both R5-5-10-10 and R5-5-5-5-10 are good, depends if you like adding a picot or not.

I'm usually distracted, so I already know that it can happen again. Sorry for that. As a joke, I'll challenge you to find my flaws, one in each of those tatted pieces. I discovered them only some days after they had been finished and ironed!

What else I did this week? I sewed purses and I tryed to add an edging to my squared doily. I wish I had near me my dear Colours' Fairy, to ask if those colours can match... But, argh! An oversight also there, and I've had to cut it. Well, I'm ready to tat the last five squares and restart the edging again!

Mi rendo conto adesso che ci sono molti errori nel mio inglese, chiedo venia, non sono ancora in grado di auto-correggermi e probabilmente sto anche adesso scrivendo qualcosa di strano. Urgh! Oggi devo anche chiedere scusa per una svista nell'ultimo schema, guardate la figura. Il numero totale di nodi nei cerchi deve essere 30, perciò va bene sia un cerchio di 5nd, p, 5nd, p, 10nd, p, 10nd, e sia un cerchio di 5nd, p, 5nd, p, 5nd, p, 5nd, p, 10nd, dipende se volete o no il picot centrale.
Come al solito, sono distratta e già so che succederà di nuovo. Scusatemi. Per scherzare un po', vi sfido a trovare i difettucci di questi due centrini, uno in ognuno, io li ho scoperti solo qualche giorno  dopo che erano finiti e stirati! Cos'altro ho fatto questa settimana? Ho cucito borsettine e ho cercato di aggiungere un bordo al centrino quadrato. Vorrei avere qui vicino la mia Fatina dei Colori, per chiederle se quei colori si sposano bene... Ma, argh! Un'altra svista e ho dovuto tagliare. Bene, sono pronta per le ultime 5 piastrelle e per ripartire col bordino!

got into a mess

I've started another edging, the third. Oh yes, I've already 2 started, one is for the hanky in the last post (my mum likes the variegated green) and the second I'm quite sure it will be usefull a day, I'm going to finish both. I should draw both patterns in a bit clearer way than that doodle done with a pencil - a mess. There's also the third pattern, it's not written at all! Sorry, I'm not an organized kind of tatter (I think I've already said this), I've no lists for things to do, nothing that I've started has a planned end date, I've a lot of doodles and about the same amount of started inkscape's files... Usually I'm not in a hurry, but now I've to prepare a gift for a friend and it seems that I've nothing ready. Could be one of these butterflies framed for a special gift? Otherwise I could tat for her that last edging. What do you think about a black hanky? Do you think that is elegant or it's gone out of style?

I've another story to tell you: two weeks ago I bought a loose ball of pure silk, made in Calabria (south of Italy), it's not coloured and needs to be boiled with washing soap, then rinsed with vinegar to become white. But! I spent two days unwinding half of the spool (I bought it in common with a friend), then I had needed to make again a loose spool because I should boil it. Then, I don't know how it happened, I had to untie a bunch of knots... In the picture you see just the moment I was going to throw the ball outside the window... No, I didn't, but the silk it's not yet ready to be tatted. I hope I can try it soon, fingers crossed (not the thread, yup!).

Ho cominciato un terzo bordino. Si si, ne ho due già cominciati, uno per il fazzolettino ( a mia mamma piace quello col verde sfumato) e il secondo prima o poi mi tornerà utile, quindi li finirò entrambi. Dovrei scrivere meglio gli schemini, adesso sono scarabocchi a matita - un pasticcio. E poi ci sta il terzo schemino, che non ho appuntato da nessuna parte! Scusate, non sono per niente ordinata (forse l'ho già detto), non ho liste ne' scadenze, un mucchio di disegnini sparsi e altrettanti file sul pc iniziati con Inkscape (il software che uso per disegnare)... Di solito non ho fretta, ma adesso mi serve un bel regalino per un'amica. Cosa fare? Porto dal corniciaio una di queste farfalline? Oppure il terzo bordino potrebbe andare bene. Che dite? Un fazzolettino nero è elegante oppure fuori moda?

Vi voglio raccontare un'altra storia: 2 settimane fa ho comprato a metà con un'amica una matassa di seta fatta in Calabria, grezza, si deve bollire col sapone a pezzi e poi sciacquare con aceto - dovrebbe diventare bianca. Ho perso due giorni a sbrogliare metà matassa e poi ho dovuto riavvolgerla per poterla bollire. A un certo punto, non so come, si è imbrogliato tutto, un groviglio di nodi mi ha fatto quasi perdere la pazienza... Poi, invece di buttare tutto dalla finestra, ho risolto, ma ancora non la posso lavorare. Spero di provarci presto, incrociamo le dita (non il filo, però!).
